Ristorante Casa Michele in Essen

Very good Italian, a little cramped seating but very good food and a nice atmosphere. Sometimes a bit ambitious prices but all in all absolutely recommendable.

We were there for the first time spontaneously eating yesterday. Selection of food very clearly. On the menu, unfortunately, was only briefly what to eat (with meat and fish no side dishes) you could certainly have found out what was there, but personally it was too cumbersome for me to ask about 5-6 dishes gives. Due to corona (I think) there was no drinks menu. When asked what is non-alcoholic was -all-. I had the feeling that I would rather disturb. Well, we decided on spaghetti with scampi’s and tortelloni with caprese. When the food arrived the waiter pushed the very warm to hot plate into my hand without saying anything. Out of shock I let him drop a bit. The waiter told me he wasn't that hot and just a flippant "sorry". The quality of my food was okay and tasty. My husband wasn't that enthusiastic. The mozarella gummy the tomatoes bland. We paid 41 € for two drinks (o juice with san bitter and tonic with san bitter) and two meals. Ambience was very nice but also not a high flyer. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Small & cosy. Good selection off daily changing menu. Dishes around 20 €.

Very good food (small deductions in the B-note, because the food was not served very hot), pretty Italian atmosphere. We will be back definitely
